Reading your Overview¶
Overview is the first screen you land on. It answers one question: is anything wrong right now?
The cards described below are the ones a manager or administrator sees, and they are about this moment: what is running, what is stuck, and what is waiting on you. They are not the place to read a day's or a month's totals — those come from Books and from the reports.
What each card is telling you¶
Live service status¶
What is happening on the floor as you look at it — service running, orders in flight.
Use it to answer "is anything actually happening right now?" — useful when you have walked in mid-shift or are checking from elsewhere.
At-risk orders¶
Orders that need someone's attention rather than orders that are simply in progress.
When nothing is listed it says All clear and "No order needs attention." That is a stated answer rather than a blank card.
What to check next: if something is listed, the order itself is where you act, not this card.
Pending approvals¶
Things somebody has asked permission for and is waiting on. When there is nothing outstanding it says Nothing waiting.
What to check next: these are people blocked until someone decides. It is usually the card worth looking at first.
Shift & cash status¶
How many shifts are running, how many have been left unclosed, and how many drawer counts have been declared but not yet dealt with.

Overview looks different depending on your job¶
Managers and administrators see the operational picture above — service, orders, approvals, shifts and cash.
Accountants see an accounting-shaped Overview instead. Two of its cards, Unreconciled items and Tax liability, are not built yet and say so plainly rather than showing a zero. A card that says it is coming is telling you the truth; a zero would not be.
Things to know¶
These cards are not totals. None of them is a day's takings or a month's revenue. A figure you can act on financially comes from Books or a report.
"All clear" and "Nothing waiting" mean nothing is listed on that card at that moment.
